Because Windows cannot natively run TCP traceroute, you will need to install the WinPcap library and download the tracetcp utility.

Installing

  1. Download the WinPcap library and install it.
  2. Download the tcp trace tool tracetcp. Unzip tracetcp tool and add it’s path into OS envirment

Running Command

  1. Open the Command Prompt (CMD) by pressing Win + R
  2. Type the following command:
C:/> tracetcp <IP>:<Port>
C:/> tracetcp subversion.assembla.com:443
C:/> tracetcp 12.34.56.78:443

Install tcptraceroute.

$ # Debain / Ubuntu 
$ sudo apt-get install tcptraceroute

Running Command

Run tcptraceroute to test the connection of host server and TiDB Cloud.

$ tcptraceroute gateway01.us-west-2.prod.aws.tidbcloud.com 4000
